A Comprehensive and Interactive Visualization of Six Years of Energy Use in San Francisco
AEI used 6 years of publicly available DataSF energy data from the City of San Francisco to construct this interactive AEI Energy Map™ visualization. With nothing more than utility bills and square footage, visualizations such as these can provide a valuable resource for municipalities, campuses and commercial property owners to trend their sustainability goals. In the case of San Francisco, the dataset contains over 166 million square feet in over 1,600 buildings and includes annual energy usage collected from property owners as required by the city's disclosure ordinance. Values for Site and Source EUI, GHG Emissions and basic building information such as parcel, size and type for the years 2011 through 2016 are all included in the Energy Map.
